What is Adult Confirmation?

This is a process for Roman Catholics who are over the age of 18 and wish to complete their full initiation into the Roman Catholic Community through the Sacrament of Confirmation. Adult Catholics who only need the Sacrament of Confirmation often join the RCIA group, and are encouraged to do so. In most cases, they participate in the the celebration of Confirmation either in the larger Catholic Community of the Oakland Diocese with the Bishop or in the local Community at the Easter Vigil.

What do the RCIA sessions include?

Participants will have the oppurtunity to reflect on their faith journey, ask questions about the Church, study much of the essential doctrines of the Church and discuss the information presented.

There will be prayer, scripture reading and a strong sense of community built into this process. It will be a life changing adventure.
